SUMMARY
Management procedures such as mixing of groups, introducing new individuals, large group sizes, and insufficient space allowance can cause social tension in the herd and increase the agonistic behaviors (Talebi et_al, 2014; Foris et_al, 2021; Scheurwater et_al, 2021). Cows differ in their tendency to stay close to other individuals (Boyland et_al, 2016; Rocha et_al, 2020) and they may form strong bonds with other cows, especially when sharing long-term experiences (Gutmann et_al, 2015; de Freslon et_al, 2020). Cows also seem to have preferential assortment to individuals with similar attributes, such as parity, breed, milk . . .
