SUMMARY
The severity of bone atrophy determines the type of bone augmentation procedure. Bone graft materials are placed in the bone defect area as scaffolds, guiding 2 of 9 osteoblasts and osteocytes to form new bone. The delayed implantation strategy demonstrated an average bone augmentation of 4-5 mm in bone width and 5-7 mm in bone height.
