SUMMARY
Individuals in the control group reported no history of obesity (BMI from 18 to 24.9 kg/ m2), diabetes_mellitus, hypertension or dyslipidemia. Although ALMI(h2) and ALMI(BMI) were lower in the older than in the younger obese women, the older women with obesity presented no or few cases of lower LTM - a parameter included in the definition of sarcopenia - for most of these current cut-offs. More specifically, the older obese group presented lower LTM and FM at appendicular sites, particularly in the lower limbs, and higher LTM and FM at the central . . .
