  • what: Taking into account that the size of municipalities may require different policies to manage the deficit problem, the analysis focuses on Method of moments quantile regression (MMQ regression) for all municipalities and then separate models for each group of municipalities according to population. The study shows that both political and economic factors are important determinants of the fiscal deficit.
