Development and piloting of an online course to improve knowledge, confidence and attitudes towards triaging images of skin lesions submitted online in primary care

  • What: The study showed that completing the online course increased PCP confidence and attitudes towards triaging skin lesions regardless of their prior knowledge and experience. The study assessed participants` knowledge in dermatology before and after the course but despite an increase in mean knowledge (before: 7.38 ± 2.08 vs. after: 8.18 ± 1.96) the difference was not statistically significant (p=0.056) for the whole cohort.
