SUMMARY
In October 2021, the State Council issued the Action Plan for Carbon Peak by 2030, which proposed to "actively, safely and orderly develop nuclear power" and "actively and steadily carry out demonstration of nuclear heating"[1]. As of June 2022, China has 54 nuclear power generating units in operation, 23 nuclear power generating units under construction, and the number of nuclear power generating units under operation and construction is the second in the world.
