- What: In this study 16 healthy subjects were evaluated for (two) different forces and_(six) hand movements using surface electromyographic (sEMG) records. The general model proposed in this work is the one described by Equation 1. The authors have studied six movements using a general mixed effects model, where results presented in Table 2 provide a clear insight into the influence of sEMG signals on force prediction and the importance of random effects arising from different types of muscle movements.
