SUMMARY

    The stiffness of conduit arteries is an important prognostic indicator of vascular health and has been associated with hypertension, atherosclerosis, and diabetes (Mitchell et_al, 2010; Townsend et_al, 2015; Jia et_al, 2018). The current clinical benchmark for detecting arterial stiffness is pulse wave velocity (PWV) as instituted by the American Heart Association Council for High Blood Pressure (Townsend et_al, 2015; Jia et_al, 2018).
