SUMMARY
In 2021, the European funded social sciences network for preparedness and response to epidemics, SoNAR-Global, undertook a five country, qualitative investigation of social, economic and health vulnerabilities as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this new initiative was to examine the complex, interacting factors that shape COVID-19 vulnerabilities in Italy, France, Germany, Malta, and Slovenia.
