- how: The model consists of four metabolites and six metabolic reactions that were simulated with Michaelis-Menten and Hill kinetics (see Methods for a detailed description of the model). As an additional negative control for the specificity of the observed fluctuations the authors utilized the aforementioned FRET sensor with strongly reduced sensitivity to pyruvate60 (Supplementary Table 1).
