“effect of tungsten carbide (wc) on electrochemical corrosion behavior, hardness, and microstructure of crfeconi high entropy alloy”

HIGHLIGHTS

SUMMARY

Ti addition affected the wear resistance of A lCoCrFeNiTix HEA, especially the AlCoCrFeNiTi0.5 HEA, which showed superior wear resistance compared to the bearing steel. The microstructure, hardness, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance of the prepared HEAs are systematically investigated. Although the relative density of samples decreases by increasing the WC percent, yet the presence of WC particles with a homogeneous distribution in the alloy matrix and the formation of Cr-rich carbide phases improve the corrosion resistance. The wear rate of_(CrFeCoNi)1.0(WC)0.0 HEA is (1.70E-04) which . . .
