    Residents play the dual role of learners and teachers for up to one-quarter of their time in residency programs. More recently, a study of program directors in the United_States showed that RaT has been implemented in 80% of residency programs, representing a 26.34point increase from 2001 to 2016.3 Often, residency programs use a variety of methodologies to teach RaT techniques, including workshops, lectures, seminars, and teaching retreats.
