Effects of different roughness on brazilian splitting characteristics of rock-concrete interface

HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: Based on this research results, to better understand the tensile instability failure mechanism of rock-concrete interface, this study explores the influence of interface roughness on the tensile strength, deformation, splitting energy rate and failure mode of rock-concrete composites. In this study, Brazilian splitting tests were carried out on six disc specimens with different roughness by grooving to quantify the roughness.
  • Who: Yan Chen et al. from the School of Energy Science and Engineering, Henan Polytechnic University, Jiaozuo, China, Henan Key have published the paper: Effects of different roughness on Brazilian splitting characteristics . . .
