Effects of esketamine and fluoxetine on depression-like behaviors in chronic variable stress: a role of plasma inflammatory factors

HIGHLIGHTS

• What: All data in this study was analyzed using GraphPad Prism 8.0 software. This study also examined the changes in plasma of IL-8 (CXCL8), CXCL12, and another macrophage-related cytokine, Arg1, in mice exposed to CVS. While the study provides valuable insights into the effects of fluoxetine and esketamine on plasma inflammatory cytokines and their role in depression and anxiety-like behaviors, some limitations should be acknowledged.
