- what: The authors show that the graphene defect density can be engineered during CVD synthesis using CH4 precursors containing different amounts of contaminants. From the analytical data presented in this work, the authors would like to propose the following growth mechanism. In this work, it was shown that the residual constituent of methane precursors could impact the graphene growth process.
