SUMMARY
No study has yet examined the reduction effect of the COVID-19 lockdowns on ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke incidence in China to date. The authors investigated the impacts of a COVID-19 lockdown on the concentrations of PM1 and other air pollutants (PM2.5, PM10, SO2, NO2, O3, and CO) and the potential subsequent reductions in ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke incidence in 126 counties in Shandong Province, China.
