Efficient optosensing of hippuric acid in the undiluted human urine with hydrophilic “turn-on”-type fluorescent hollow molecularly imprinted polymer microparticles

HIGHLIGHTS

SUMMARY

The resulting MIPs have easily accessible imprinted binding_sites that are in close proximity to the MIP particle surfaces, which can thus largely enhance the template binding kinetics. Both their presence of imprinted binding_sites and complex aqueous sample-compatibility were confirmed by the equilibrium/competitive binding and fluorescent optosensing results in the artificial urine. Both the solid and hollow HA-MIPs exhibited obvious specific binding (i.e., the binding difference between the MIP and its CP ) in the organic solvent and artificial urine, indicating the existence of imprinted binding_sites in these MIPs. The fluorescence hancement . . .
