- what: The work provides a universal scheme for engineering single-molecule fluorescence in the near-infrared regime. The authors explore the underlying physics with FEM simulations on realistic molecule excitation/emission processes (see insets to Fig 4a, b). The authors demonstrate that enhancement of ϕ improves photostability of AIEE1000. The authors design and construct plasmonic nanoantennas that significantly enhance the fluorescence signal of single AIEE1000 molecule.
