- What: The work of Gargoum et_al focuses on calculating the minimal clearance above highways (Gargoum et_al, 2018). The approach makes sense for the given goal but is not suitable for finding parts of vegetation that need to be trimmed because it only covers the points that are directly above the vehicle. The authors compare the qualitative results in the form of images and the computing time required, when appropriate. The experiment is repeated for each sequence, and the averages of the obtained values are utilized for fair comparison.
