SUMMARY

    Since nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) were first described in the 1990s, they have gone from obscure liver diseases to the most prominent cause of chronic liver disease with a 25% prevalence worldwide. The authors used NAFLD larvae zebrafish model in_vivo and the hepatocyte model in_vitro to investigate the potential role of ESC ameliorating NAFLD. To inflammatory gene_expression, the expression levels of interleukin-1 beta (il-1b), tumor necrosis factor alpha (tnf-a), and interleukin-1 (il-6) were significantly lower in the ESC group than in the HCD group . . .
