  • What: This study was aimed to determine testosterone and mineral elements (Cu Zn and Mg) in sickle cell findings between those in steady state and vasoocclussive crisis. This study showed that serum testosterone levels are significantly lower (P and amp;lt;0.001) in male sickle cell patients compared to male controls and was even significantly lower (p and amp;lt;0.001) in vaso occlusive crisis, when sickle cell patients in steady_state and vaso occlusive crisis were compared.
