• What: The authors show how the emerging system of Hierarchical Event Descriptors (HED; https://www.hedtags. org) and the tool infrastructure built on this framework can be used to construct concrete, analysis-ready, human- and machineactionable descriptions of events occurring during acquisition of time-series neuroimaging data of any modality (EEG/MEG, fMRI, etc.) to support search, summary, and analysis of the recorded brain activity, within or across studies.
