SUMMARY
As discussed in the introductory part, other Fe-oxides undergo magnetic collapses at lower pressure. The calculations confirm a transition from a high moment to a low moment configuration at a pressure of ≈ 45 GPa related to a crystal field induced spin state transition. At higher pressure, the magnetic moment is found to remain fairly stable with a slight decrease from 2.2 µB . . .
