SUMMARY

    The fatigue failure of the high-strength bolts of grid structures with bolted spherical joints should receive the complete attention. Schaumann tested M72 bolts with huge diameters to analyze the impact of the diameter on the fatigue of the bolts. Marcelo investigated the fatigue properties of high-strength bolts in different metallurgical conditions and reported that the fatigue limit of the high-strength bolts increased after thread rolling with tempering temperature (TRBHT). Yang, Qiu, and Zhou conducted constant-amplitude fatigue tests on M20, M30, M39, and M60 high-strength bolts of grid structures with bolted spherical joints . . .
