SUMMARY
Few studies in the United_States have examined psychosocial determinants of HPV vaccine acceptability and hesitancy among Black parents. Black parents in the United_States, however, have been severely underrepresented in research examining attitudes and beliefs regarding pediatric HPV vaccination. Most research in the United_States has drawn on samples consisting of largely non-Hispanic white populations and has not examined potential racial/ethnic similarities or differences given small minority sample sizes. Others are concerned that the vaccine is too new to be safe, fear potential side effects will have long-term harmful impacts on their daughter . . .
