SUMMARY
Modern dental ceramics can be subdivided into esthetic glass ceramics, resin-matrix ceramics and high-strength zirconia ceramics. Modern ceramic 2 of 17 implants are made of either 3 mol% yttria-doped tetragonal zirconia (Y-TZP) or aluminatoughened zirconia (ATZ) with similar hard and soft tissue integration capacities compared to titanium implants.
