Filling the gap in extended metal atom chains: ferromagnetic interactions in a tetrairon(ii) string

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: assirelli from the DepartmentUniversity of INSTM, Modena, Italy have published the research: Filling the gap in Extended Metal Atom Chains: Ferromagnetic Interactions in a Tetrairon(II) String, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
  • what: The authors demonstrate that homometallic iron(II) EMACs can be assembled by using oligo-pyridylamines, the family of ligands of most widespread use in EMAC chemistry. The experiments were repeated at least five times and the kET values obtained were found to be reproducible within 6%.
  • how: Since the complex degrades quickly in the presence of O2 or H2O all . . .
