  • What: The authors aim to provide a baseline information on the common procedures performed in the area in relation to prevalent pathologies and to analyze common surgical practice trends in the area . Even though this study is histopathological-based and not clinically- based, therefore, cases of keratoconus that are managed conservatively without a corneal tissue submitted are not represented but since the study is conducted in a tertiary care eye center, the prevalence of keratoconus among patients undergoing PKP/LKP is truly reflecting the high frequency of KC among these surgical cases in total.
