Fragmentation of colliding liquid rims

  • What: Is the collision of liquid rims, which has seen some recent investigations experimentally (Néel, Lhuissier and amp; Villermaux 2020) and numerically (Agbaglah 2021) and is also the focus of the present work. Since this study focuses on the liquid-phase morphological development after the rims begin to coalesce, the distance between the symmetric axes of the two cylindrical rims is set at initialisation as zc=0.95d0, so that the slightly overlapped rims form a line of contact.
