    The authors quantify the meltwater flux from the FIS into the Caspian and Black Seas catchments using ice sheet ­reconstructions25-27. By using transient simulations of the last deglaciation, the authors estimate the water budget over the Black Sea for this period. The three ice sheet reconstructions the authors used, ICE-6G26, GLAC-1D27 and Patton et_al25, rely on different methods. Patton et_al`s reconstruction uses a thermomechanical model with regional constraints. The reconstructed volume of ice in the Black and Caspian Seas catchments and the associated meltwater flux show several phases from 21 . . .
