- how: Not only was calprotectin the best RA biomarker identified in this study but higher calprotectin levels were found in the SF of RA compared with SpA patients therefore calprotectin may differentiate RA from other inflammatory arthritis . ELISA commercial kits are designed to determine both and most evidence available is drive by from serum determinations.
