SUMMARY
Over the past 20 years textbook costs have almost doubled (Durbin, 2015). An international review of 16 higher education settings utilising Open Education Resource (OER) textbooks found that students achieved the same learning outcomes as students using traditional textbooks (Hilton, 2016).
