SUMMARY

    The saturation of the gluon propagator in the deep infrared has been interpreted as an unequivocal signal of a gluon mass; and the existence of an inflection point in the same function has been argued to lead to a non-positive gluon spectral density, and the ensuing loss of reflection positivity for the dressed gluons. Similarly, the masslessness of the ghost induces a maximum in the gluon propagator, and a zero crossing in the form factors of the three-gluon vertex, followed by an infrared divergence for vanishing momenta.
