- what: In this study, a total of 225 equine serum samples was collected from seven farms in Guangdong Province; these samples were used in polymerase_chain_reaction (PCR) assays to detect EqPV DNA. After the authors consulted veterinarians at these farms, the authors found that none of the EqPV-positive horses in this study had been injected with commercial horse serum or related products.
