Genicular artery embolisation in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee (genesis) using permanent microspheres: long-term results

  • What: This study reports the 2-year follow-up of 40 patients undergoing GAE, of which the interim results of 38 patients were reported previously . The authors report one serious complication of a DVT following GAE, which has not previously been reported. This study demonstrated decreased usage of paracetamol and NSAIDs post GAE, signifying the pain controlling effects of the procedure.
