SUMMARY
The domestic goat (Capra hircus) is one of the most important livestock species, which plays an important role in human history and culture. The Yunling goat is the largest in number and the most widely distributed local goat breed from Yunnan province of southwestern China, which has strong disease resistance and good adaptability. According to the breeders` observation, the Yunling goats are less prone to diseases, while the Nubian goats are prone to diseases. This difference is interesting, but the genetic mechanism and genes associated with low morbidity are not known in Yunling goats . . .
