SUMMARY
In 2020, breast cancer (BC) overtook lung cancer in women as the most frequently diagnosed cancer, with an estimated 2.3 million new cases (11.7%) and 684,996 deaths (6.9%). Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), the absence of expression of ER, PR, and HER2, is an extremely aggressive and heterogeneous tumor, accounting for 15%-20% of all breast cancer cases. Compare with other types of cancer, breast cancer has a lower number of tumor-infiltrating immune system_cells with tumor-rejecting capacity (primarily T lymphocytes).
