Environmental Humanities Center8 at Cappadocia University which has been inspiring scholarly work on Turkish and international ecocriticism through various activities including the journal, Ecocene. Promoting the Theory: Ecocritical Books by Turkish Scholars Books have always had a pivotal mission of introducing, promoting and even popularising new movements and tendencies in literature and the academy. Since the early 2010s, a rising interest in ecocritical research in Turkey led to books/edited books with the effect of introducing ecocritical theory to the Turkish reading public.
