Halogen and hydrogen bonding in the layered crystal structure of 2-iodoanilinium triiodide, c h i n

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: Z. Kristallogr. NCS and collaborators from the (UNIVERSITY) have published the article: Halogen and hydrogen bonding in the layered crystal structure of 2-iodoanilinium triiodide, C H I N, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)

SUMMARY

    Atomic coordinates of hydrogen atoms involved in hydrogen_bonds were refined using distance restraints. Each cation donates three hydrogen_bonds to three adjacent triiodide anions (N1-H11· · · I2: 3.643(4) Å, N1-H12· · · I2′: 3.677(2) Å; ′=2 - x, -y, 1 - z). The I-I distances in the formal triiodide anion of the title structure are: I2-I3: 3.1069 . . .
