Hedgehog associated to microparticles inhibits adipocyte differentiation viaa non-canonical pathway

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: Audrey Fleury from the CNRS Cellulaire have published the article: Hedgehog associated to microparticles inhibits adipocyte differentiation viaa non-canonical pathway, in the Journal: Scientific Reports Scientific Reports
  • what: The authors investigated the effect of MP-associated Hh (MPHh+) on adipogenesis by studying their effects on the well-described 3T3-L1 adipocyte differentiation model. The authors show that MPHh+ trigger potent inhibition of adipocyte conversion similar to the inhibitory effects of non-lipidated form of Hh using recShh or the Smo agonists SAG and GSA-10.
  • future: Investigations would therefore be needed . . .
