- what: Likewise, Candida alone did not induce stomach injury in the study , but gastritis was demonstrated in the mice orally administered both with intravacuolar H. pylori (the bacteria inside Candida) and with H. pylori alone, as indicated by inflammatory lesions, CagA expression, a urea-based culture, and tissue cytokine levels in the stomach . . .
