HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The study shows the importance of a mission like CHEOPS which today is the only mission able to make long observations (i.e. from space) to track the ephemeris of long-period planets possibly affected by large TTVs. With this, the authors aimed to confirm the planet`s orbital period and to constrain possible transit-timing variations (TTVs) of HIP 41378 d, as observed for planet f (Bryant et_al 2021). The authors assumed that the effect of the three inner planets is negligible for the purpose of the sliding TTV analysis.
