SUMMARY

    Thyroid-related HS represents a rare cause of HS among large panel of conditions that the authors previously mentioned, including thyroid nodules/goiter/cancer-associated HS, respective post-thyroidectomy HS. The first two issues concerning thyroid pathology/surgery and a newly diagnosed case of HS are: whether HS is strictly related to this endocrine and endocrine surgery field or, in fact, there is another synchronous disorder to induce HS; and, secondary, once that thyroid involvement is confirmed, is there any place of intervention to improve the outcome.
