SUMMARY
The management strengthening intervention was developed by the PERFORM project and piloted together with district health management teams (DHMTs) in nine districts in three sub-Saharan African countries between 2011 and 2015. A central element of the framework, the scale-up strategy, focuses on the actions to be taken to ensure that the intervention, resource team and steering group have the right attributes for successful scale-up in a specific environment.
