HIGHLIGHTS
- who: Emmanuel Gothie̕ from the (UNIVERSITY) have published the research work: Identification of Alternative Spliced Variants of Human Hypoxia-inducible Factor-1α*, in the Journal: (JOURNAL) of October/12,/1999
- what: The authors demonstrate that the mRNA of this truncated form is expressed in several human cells lines and human skin but apparently not in rodents. In the case of HIF-1␣, splicing events were only described in mouse with alternative translation initiation and alternative splicing within exon 10 , which are unlikely to occur in humans according to the analysis undertaken by Iyer et_al .
