SUMMARY

    The aim of this review is to furnish an overview of the risks of SARS-CoV-2 infection in HCC patients and of the impact of the pandemic on HCC patient management with regard to surveillance programs, diagnosis, and treatment. Even if a higher incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients with HCC is doubtful, several studies have demonstrated a worse outcome (in terms of mortality and serious illness) in patients with CLD and in those with HCC. The higher overall mortality in patients with CLD was demonstrated also by a multicentric study . . .
