HIGHLIGHTS

• What: The aim of this study is to analyze the impact resistance of aluminum foam composites containing fillers and coatings and to investigate the effect of different thickness ratios of the composites on this capability. In this paper, two types of aluminum foam composites with fillers and coatings are prepared from polyurea and aluminum foam, and numerical modeling and impact tests are carried out on single-layer aluminum foam materials and aluminum foam composites.
