In vitro evaluation of the antioxidant and anticancer activities of acetone and methanolic extracts of asparagus racemosus in human cervical cancer cell lines (hela cells)

  • What: This approach provides a quantitative assessment of the cytotoxic effects of the plant extracts on HeLa cells. In the present investigation, phytochemical analyses of A. racemosus extracts were carried out to identify various bioactive chemical constituents. In the present study, FRAP activity was relatively more effective in acetone solvent compared to methanolic solvent . In the present study, the anticancer activity of A. racemosus in both acetone and methanol solvents was evaluated by MTT assay using HeLa cells.
