- what: The authors demonstrate that manuka honey can be used to inhibit M. abscessus and a variety of drug resistant clinical isolates in vitro. The authors assess the antimycobacterial efficacy of a range of Manuka honeys of differing MGO content. The clinical isolates used in this study have been unresponsive to frontline treatments, suggesting increased drug resistance.
