Increased 18f-fdg signal recovery from small physiological structures in digital pet/ct and application to the pituitary gland

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: Marie Meyer from the DepartmentLausanne University have published the paper: Increased 18F-FDG signal recovery from small physiological structures in digital PET/CT and application to the pituitary gland, in the Journal: Scientific Reports Scientific Reports
  • what: The aim of the study was to compare 18F-FDG physiological uptake of the PG in patients imaged with dPET and cPET. The authors used the CT of the PET/CT for the measure of the volume of PG, although many studies have showed that Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) remains the gold standard.
